Larry Deverett President, Spar Canada For the past six years, Deverett has been directing SPAR Canada towards impressive growth. Deverett believes in hiring strong, qualified managers and empowering them towards success. This has been the pillar for SPAR Canada’s success. Deverett focuses on fostering strong relationships with customers, staff and a vast team of field reps. His attitude towards business is to treat his customer’s business as if it was his own. As such SPAR Canada has a discipline of being able to be very flexible and fair with all its customers. Deverett spent the early part of his career in high tech, initially with IBM, then in computer manufacturing and services. He also owned and operated a successful computer and software store. This led him to develop programs and systems for high tech retailers to better manage their sales floors. He partnered with his twin brother Jeff in the late 90’s to further develop a young merchandising company Jeff had started. In early 2000 they sold this company to SPAR Group and became SPAR Canada. Deverett lives in Thornhill, Ontario and is married with 4 beautiful daughters. Back to top |

Shelley Sobel Director, Business Development Shelley Sobel brings to Spar over 23 years experience in wholesale and retail sales, management and administration, as well as corporate purchasing. Shelley earned her degree in Economics and Marketing from York University with specialty upgrades in Executive Development from York’s Faculty of Administrative Studies. Shelley’s knowledge of the retail sector and packaged goods marketing gives Spar’s clients an invaluable resource for overcoming the challenges in today’s retail environment. With SPAR since January 2008, Shelley has held the position as Director of Client Services, and has overseen the Field team before moving on to become Director of Business Development in 2009. Shelley enjoys the outdoors, volunteering and fundraising, has a keen interest in fitness and nutrition, and has been a devoted hockey mom to her two teenage sons. Back to top |

Mindy Finegold Director, Client Services Mindy Finegold is Director of Client Services and has been with SPAR since 2004. Mindy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and a post-graduate degree in Advertising Media/Sales from Humber College. Prior to working with SPAR, Mindy held the position of Media Planner with two Toronto advertising agencies, working on accounts such as Kraft Canada and American Express. Mindy began her career with SPAR as the key Client Manager for MGM Home Entertainment and helped launch the first scan based program in Canada. Mindy's experience and knowledge of the DVD business grew substantially with the addition of multiple retailers to the MGM program and ultimately the acquisition of MGM by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Mindy moved into the Director of Client Services role, overseeing all media accounts for SPAR Canada. This allowed her the opportunity to raise other clients with similar programs to the same success she had achieved for MGM/Sony. Mindy currently oversees the entire Client Management team, servicing all of SPAR's range of clients. Living in Vaughan, Mindy is married with two beautiful children. Back to top |

Jennifer Weishuhn Director, Client Services, Team Division and Field Manager Jennifer has Undergraduate Degrees in both Kinesiology and Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sport and Event Marketing from George Brown College. Jennifer has been with SPAR since 2005. During this time, she has worked with a variety of clients in the multi-media, consumer electronics and communication sectors. Jennifer began her career with SPAR as a Client Manager, and then moved to Senior Account Manager, and ultimately Dedicated Team manager for Sharp Electronics. Jennifer is currently the Director, Client Services – Team Division, overseeing both dedicated teams as well as the National SPAR Field Team. Prior to coming to SPAR, Jennifer spent 3 years in the not for profit sector as a corporate fundraiser. Back to top |

Anne Howe Regional Field Manager, Western Canada Anne Howe has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and brings to SPAR Canada over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing. With a solid background in retail purchasing, merchandising, management as well as wholesale sales, Anne has a clear understanding of what it takes to be successful in today’s marketplace.
